Teresa was born and raised in Calgary and has lived in Chestermere for the last 6 years. She has traveled across Canada, coast to coast. She has dipped her feet in the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans. She has also lived in Medicine Hat, Edmonton and The Yukon, where employment brought her. Her family has generations of painters, including her father, great aunts, aunt, cousins and nieces. When she travels, she makes a point of seeing art galleries and museums. Teresa’s training includes 2 years of Industrial Design and drafting, which is not as distant from the fine arts as you might think. Teresa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1981. Teresa retired from earning her living as an engineer in 2016.
Teresa has happily been a member of the Chestermere Fine Art Guild for the last 3 years and participates in their annual Art Show and Sale in early May.
Teresa also has been learning how to play the fiddle for the last ten years. She has been a member of the Prairie Mountain Fiddlers for the last 3 years.
I want to paint Joy! Life is meant to be wonderful.
