Registration is online through our website and begins on February 26th at 10AM for Session 2.

Each program date and participant requires separate registration.

If two consecutive registered programs are no–show without notification, participants will be removed from future program dates in the session.

Children under 8 must have a parent or guardian stay in the library during programs.

5. You will receive an email confirming your registration in our programming


Note: If you do not see the form to fill out, the program and its waitlist is full.

To cancel your registration, please follow the cancellation link in your confirmation  email.

Our programs fill quickly, please provide as much cancellation notice as possible.

Drop in Storytime Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:15AM. All Ages.

Everyone is welcome to join us for songs and stories. 
No registration required.

Growing Minds Tuesdays at 12:30PM. Age 2.
Your child will grow and develop through play and a variety of activities! This play group is exclusively for kids aged 2 and their parents and caregivers.
Registration required.


PJ Storytime Tuesdays at 6:15PM. All Ages.

Enjoy a bedtime story at the library. Wear your PJs, bring your blankets and stuffies, and tuck in for a half hour of reading and fun. 
No registration required.


School Readiness Wednesdays at 1:00PM. Ages 4-5.
This program is aimed towards young kids aged 4-5 to help build their confidence and independence before they go to school.
Registration required.


Busy Bees Wednesdays at 1:45PM. Age 3.
Your 3 year old will grow and develop with a variety of activities, learning lessons, and crafts.
Registration required.

Drop in Baby Storytime Fridays 10:15AM. Age 0-18 Months.
Baby Storytime is for parents, caregivers, and babies 0-18 months. Stay after for our Bibs, Burps, and Breaks at 10:45AM.
No registration required.



Mystery Mondays Mondays at 4:15PM. Ages 6-12.

Experience a new surprise activity each week for our Mystery Mondays!
Registration required.


Chess Tuesdays at 4:15PM. Ages 6-12.

You are welcome to join us for this program, whether you are just learning or you’ve already been playing chess.
Registration required.

Reading Buddies Wednesdays at 4:15PM. Grades 1-3.

Join us for Reading Buddies to help facilitate reading and literacy. Teen volunteers are matched with early elementary students learning to read. We will provide an activity then the student is asked to pick a book to read with their teen buddy.

Kids Creative Club Thursdays at 4:15PM. Ages 6-12.

Join us for a new fine arts or craft each week!

Family Friday Films Fridays at 3:00PM. All Ages.

         Join us every Friday for a FREE movie showing for the whole family! Please feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy during the movie.

Every month, our program facilitator will choose a theme to discuss, any book that fits in the theme is welcome to be discussed throughout the month on our Discord.

March’s theme is “Slice of Life”. April’s theme is “Pirates”.

Tween Board Games Sundays at 12:30PM. Ages 11-14.
Bring all of your friends to play board games at the library! We have a variety of games to play, or bring your own. Snacks and drinks will be provided during the program.

Volunteer Reading Buddy Wednesdays at 4:15PM. Volunteers between grades 7-12.

Self Run Book Club Set Your Own Dates.
Want to host your own book club at the library? We will help you get everything you need and provide a space for your group to get together. We provide copies of your chosen book, library space, and cookies and coffee for your meeting!

Library Board Meeting Specified Dates at 6:00PM.

Get involved in the Library by joining our board for their meeting. These meetings are open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend. Please contact the library for more information. If you would like to join our board, apply through the City of Chestermere Website:


Drop In English Language Learning Tuesdays at 10:15AM. Starts January 30th and runs until April 23rd.

Come practice your English in a group with others and the South Central Adult Learning Society. Discussions and activities will be aimed at
beginner speakers, but will adapt to the level of the group.
Please note: There will be no program on April 2nd.
No registration required.


Basic Computers Wednesdays at 10:15AM. Begins January 31st and runs until March 20th.

Join South Central Adult Learning Society for this 8 week program. 
Bring your laptop and your questions and join us to learn computer basics. Many beginner topics will be covered such as computer lingo, using email,
internet searching and more.
If are you new to computer use or a beginner learner, this class is for you.

Yoga Thursdays at 12:00PM.

Join our mindful yoga series where we will explore yogic breath techniques, gentle movement, and guided relaxation. This class supports increased connection between breath, mind, and body. It is a great low intensity midday reset for your nervous system.

This 60 Minute class is suitable for adults and older adults of any experience level.

*Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes.

Bibs, Burps, and Breaks Fridays at 10:45AM.

Join us after Baby Storytime for some time to chat with other parents and caregivers in the community. Children are welcome to play as parents and caregivers chat. We will have refreshments and snacks available.
No registration required.


Session 2 Adult Creative Club 

Join us for our adult crafts! There will be one craft each month at the library with all materials provided.
Registration required.


Painted Floral Rocks March 13th at 5:30PM.

Repurpose rocks with beautiful floral painting for indoor or outdoor decor. Another fun option is to take your painted rocks and place them around the community to bring some extra colour and joy. 


Macramé Feathers April 10th at 5:30PM.

Learn how to make beautiful macramé  feathers. These make great wall hangings, key chains, features for mobiles or shadow boxes, library bag/purse
accessories, and more!


 Spring Has Sprung Storytime Tuesday, March 19th at 10:15AM. All Ages.

Welcome to our Special Spring Storytime! There's no better time to spark your imagination through books and songs about Spring!

No registration required.  


Earth Day Clean Up The Lake Initiative Saturday, April 20th From 11:00AM - 1:00PM. All Ages.
Chestermere is home to our beautiful lake and community. Let’s take some time together to help clean it up for our second annual Earth Day Clean Up! Our goal is to clean from outside the library all the way to the end of John Peake Park! Last year we had over 50 participants and filled 18 bags of garbage, can we beat that this year?

PPE will be provided to those who participate. Please dress for the weather.
